Calling All Guinea Pigs!

Got a pulse? The Human Physiology class needs you! Beth Buyea’s young scientists have designed experiments and need 20 to 30 people willing to be subjects. They are asking members of the NMH community to come up to the top floor of Cutler on November 24 or 25 (let Beth know when to expect you) during C1 block and help researchers find out the answers to these provocative questions:

• Is there a difference between the taste buds of students versus faculty, i.e., does age play a role in the change of the buds?
• Does an energy drink increase your muscular strength?
• How is the heart rate affected by various external stimuli?
• How does caffeine affect blood pressure and pulse rates?
• Do sports drinks affect the rate of fatigue?
