Located near the birthplace of volleyball in Holyoke, Massachusetts, NMH has played boys volleyball for more than two decades. NMH has both a varsity and a junior varsity team. Both teams compete in the spring against public high school teams in western Massachusetts, and also against private schools such as Phillips Academy, Andover, Choate Rosemary Hall, and Loomis Chaffee.
