NMH prepares student athletes for college athletic careers
NMH has a rich history of athletics: we've had countless New England champions and several future Olympians. Student athletes here have the chance to compete against top opponents, get great exposure to college athletic recruiters, and work with incredible coaches who are often their teachers off the field. Our students learn how to push themselves farther than they ever imagined.
Tom Pratt
Director of Physical Education and Athletics
NMH student athletes are recruited by the top college and university athletic programs in the U.S. Here are several student athletes from the class of 2007 and the colleges they will attend next fall.

Elizabeth Donald
Sport Crew
College University of Pennsylvania
My dream My goal is to help lead Penn’s crew team to the NCAA Championships, but my dream is to compete at the Olympics, racing a pair or double with my twin sister, Rebecca.
My NMH experience NMH prepared me to compete at the collegiate level through its supportive athletic environment, which demanded me to push myself at every practice to achieve both my personal and team goals. My coach worked with my sister and me throughout the college recruiting process. NMH’s challenging curriculum also pushed me academically. Without both, I wouldn’t have been able to consider Penn.

Rebecca Donald
Sport Crew
College University of Pennsylvania
My dream I want to help Penn go to the NCAA Championships and also learn how to row a double with my twin, Elizabeth.
My NMH experience NMH helped me develop as an athlete because of great coaches. At the boathouse, my crew coach encouraged us to work hard while having fun. As juniors, she helped my sister and me make a list of schools that would be a good fit, both academically and athletically. I definitely feel prepared for next year, thanks to my NMH teachers and coaches.

NMH pushed me forward by urging me to go for my best, and I feel confident and ready to step up to the challenges awaiting me at the college level.

Hayden David Johns

College Columbia University
My dream I’d love to play professionally, and after that I’d like to coach or manage a professional team.
My NMH experience NMH coaches focus not just on team improvement, but they help with individual development as well. Their support allowed me to become better during the season and to be seen by college scouts. Our victory at the New England Championships showed that I and some of my teammates have the strength and technique to pursue a career in collegiate soccer.

My dream I’m striving to bring my game up to a level that will allow me to play professionally overseas.
My NMH experience From the workout regimens to the competition and schedules, NMH has truly prepared me for college athletics. In basketball we run college-level practices and play by our games by college rules, so I feel much more prepared than the averages student-athlete heading to college.
