Coaches’ Meeting at Loomis Chaffee

 Jeff Pilgrim passed out the 1999 New England Women’s Prep Soccer Tournament packet to each coach. Jeff explained that if quarterfinal and semifinal tournament games end in a tie, two ten minute overtimes are to be played to completion (not to sudden death as previously reported).

A concern was expressed with regard to the placement of schools in a lower class (A B C D) for tournament play even though they technically exceed the enrollment for that size. Jeff Pilgrim will report back to the membership at the fall 2000 coaches meeting with a recommendation.

A discussion to improve the Captain’s Day Clinic followed. There is concern that all of our field players are not being involved in the clinic and that playing a Sunday AM game after pre-season is too much to ask our captains. There is also interest to have a clinic for our coaches. It was decided that we would, for the 2000 Captain’s Day Clinic, suspend the game in favor of a combined clinic for both players and coaches.
