from On-Campus Training -- the First (Annual) Hermonkahm Slalom -- Friday,
February 9 2001
On February 9 2001, the alpine ski team
ventured over to the hill between the Mt Hermon Chapel and Overtoun dorm for some fun
on-campus training. This hill, the long-since abandoned site of the old recreational
skiing trail which featured a rope tow, was freshly covered with over two feet of snow
from the blizzard that week.

| With help from
Cross Country coach Charles Hamilton and his snowmobile & trail packer, the team
packed the hill and set a short slalom course. With great enthusiasm, the team
barreled down the "Hermonkahm" course, which was soon transformed into a
combination slalom & arials course. |

provided quite a show for the mass of spectators, finally (after many attempts) succeeding
in his quest to land his first 360. |
