Benefit NMH's girls varsity lacrosse spring training trip!

Head Coach Diane Arena attended Amherst College where she played lacrosse for four years. She was assistant varsity coach at Amherst College, and was the varsity coach at Hopkins School and Stoneleigh-Burnham School. At NMH, Diane has coached JV and varsity lacrosse since 1999.

The NMH Girl’s Varsity Lacrosse team is raffling off two gift baskets from Wine Country Gifts. All fundraised and/or donated money will go directly to the team’s Spring Training fund.

For the first time in Diane Arena’s NMH coaching career, the girl’s lacrosse program will be traveling to Florida for pre-season spring training. The trip will take place March 9-14, 2008, in Cocoa Beach, Fla. The girls team will join the NMH boys lacrosse team at the Royal Palms Lacrosse Spring Training Tournament.

The cost of the camp alone is approximately $800 per person. It is anticipated that each player will have to pay an additional $200 to $400 for airfare.

Recently, the NMH girls lacrosse program has prepared female athletes for lacrosse at Bowdoin College, Bates College, Connecticut College, Wheaton College, Ohio-Wesleyan University, Fairfield University, and several others. This girls lacrosse team has high expectations for the coming season. With a good balance between returning players, new talent, and a young team to carry on the program, these athletes plan to build a competitive, successful team and be a force in the league.

Below, you will find a description of each gift basket up for grabs. To enter into the raffle, please read the following directions:

*A minimum of $10.00 is required to obtain one ticket

*If additional money is donated, each $5.00 increment will award one additional ticket (It is only necessary to fill out one ticket, additional ones will be put in the raffle for you.)
