At NMH:The lone returning captain, Wilson enters 2008 as the only four-time member of the lacrosse team, looking to end his career as one of the most decorated players in NMH history. A physical player, Wilson also possesses great speed and athleticism, which has put him in the position of drawing opponents’ top attackmen, a role he will serve again this season. For his part, he has already added to his accolades this season by having been named to the 2008 Royal Palms All-tournament Team during the team’s spring break trip. In 2007, Wilson, a highly recruited athlete, garnered All-League honors for his performance, gathering 64 groundballs, good enough for fourth on the team, and impressively earning only one penalty in 19 games. As a starter as a sophomore in 2006, Wilson earned the Most Improved Player award on the strength of 68 groundballs and only 3 penalties. In 2005, as a freshman, Wilson was a regular starter.
Before NMH: Before NMH, Wilson lettered in lacrosse at Brookline High School (MA).
Personal:Wilson has earned varsity letters at NMH in football and ice hockey. In the off-season, Wilson has played for Homegrown Lacrosse and for Team Central under Coach John Middleton. Wilson has one brother, Alexander, and is the son of Renat Zinnurov and Kathy Utter.
