Worth Noting: Jon, a committed collegiate lacrosse player, began playing goalie freshman year.
At NMH:Jon enters his second year as a member of the varsity lacrosse team after having served in 2007 as the team’s back-up goalie. Jon has shown great improvement in the off-season. His size and aggressiveness enable him to be a terrific ball-stopper. In 2007, Jon started 3 games but saw time in 10 contests, proving to be the winning goalie of record in 4 games while amassing a 61% save percentage and a stingy 6.45 goals against average. For his performance on the season, he was named the team’s Most Improved Player.
Before NMH:Before coming to NMH last season, Jon spent two years at Vermont Academy and one season at Hall High School (CT).
Personal:Jon was a starter for the NMH boys’ varsity soccer team in 2007 that qualified for the New England tournament. He has two brothers, Sandy and Seth, and a sister, Emily, and is the son of Mark and Marsha Weisburst.
