Boys Crew

The NMH boys' crew program offers a competitive rowing opportunity for experienced and novice rowers. In the spring, we field three eights to race against many of the elite crews in New England and compete in the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association championships. In the fall, athletes try out for a varsity four that competes in several head races, culminating with the Head of the Charles Regatta in late October.

NMH has long graduated excellent oarsmen to some of the nation's strongest rowing programs. NMH alumni are currently rowing for or are recently graduated from Navy, Syracuse, Columbia, Wesleyan, and Boston Universities. Click here to find out more...

Girls Crew

NMH crew has one enormous advantage over other crews in New England--14 miles of the best water anywhere! The Connecticut River cuts through the rural countryside of western Massachusetts, and we row past miles of farms and woodlands. In the fall, the riverbanks are so picturesque as to be almost unbelievable. The water runs flat and warm throughout the Head racing season. In the spring, we have the river to ourselves as the snowmelt from Vermont and New Hampshire rushes past.

Each spring we carry four eights; the third and fourth boats provide an opportunity for novices to learn to row. We enter three eights into the NEIRA regatta at the end of the season. Click here to find out more...
