Cori Boston 6'5"......200...... '03 Guard......Boston, MA Cori has a basketball resume that is tough to beat. He played his High School basketball for Jack O'Brien at Charlestown High. Charlestown goes into this season as the 3 time defending state champ thanks in large part to Cori's past 3 years. Cori help lead Charlestown to 2 consecutive Boston City Championships and a 79 and 1 record during his last 3 years at Charlestown. He averaged about 20 points a game and 10 rebounds a game for the Townies mainly as the tallest player on the court for Charlestown. This year Cori has made a great transition to his natural position of off-guard/ small forward. His jump shot is improved and he finishes hard! During his Post Grad year Cori will be studying English, Astronomy, Spanish, Violence and Non-Violence and Ceramics. Cori will attend NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY in the fall.

Ryan Michael Brimley 6'10"......245...... '03 Center......Auburn, NY Last year Ryan played in Upstate NY for Auburn High School. He averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. This past summer Ryan put himself on the map with some great performances in the top tournaments playing for Mike Crotty's Middlesex Magic AAU team. They traveled to the 3 Stripes tournament at Hofstra University and defeated the Tim Thomas Playaz by 15. Ryan went on to have solid performances at the Big Time Tourney in Las Vegas and a great trip to the Nationals in Orlando where Ryan helped the Magic win 7 consecutive wins and end up in the pool of 16 out of 240 teams. During Ryan Post Grad year he will be taking PG English, Pre Calculus, Philosophy and Economics. Ryan has committed to play his college ball at JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY.

Christian Corey 6'1''......175......'03 Guard......Keene, NH Chris is another 4 year senior on Coach Batty's NMH club. Chris has come through NMH's program. Last year, he had a great year with Dale Dintaman's JV A squad. He averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds per game. This past spring and summer Chris played for the Keene Wildcats AAU program averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds per contest. Chris doesn't miss many shots that he decides to take. An extremely accurate shooter from behind the arc and an equally hard worker. A tough defender on the ball and off. A great kid to coach and a wonderful teammate. Chris will be studying Ethics, English, Photography, Statistics, Latin 2, Anthropology/ Archaeology and Human Physiology. Chris will attend MESSIAH COLLEGE in the fall..

Jack Hubbard 5'9''......165......'03 Guard......West Chesterfield, NH Jack is a 4 year student at NMH. He has made great efforts in improving his game each year. Last year, Jack was the star for NMH's JV A team. He averaged about 20 points a game showing off great range as a shooter and a tough defender. This past summer he teamed up with Christian Corey as a member of the Keene Wildcats AAU club. During his senior year Jack will be studying War, Pre Calculus, English, Violence and Non Violence, Psychology, Photography and Anthropology. Jack will defer his college career for a year. He plans to spend a sailing semester in the Caribbean. His college options for 2004-2005 are Lynn University, Barry University or the University of Central Florida.

Fred Jones 6'0"......160...... '03 Guard......Greenfield, MA Fred is a returning senior. He captained Coach Batty's team last year and was captain of NMH's Track and Field team ( Fred is 2 time defending New England Champ in the long jump and 2 time runner-up in the triple jump). He is one of NMH's best in the classroom, on the playing fields and as a leader in our community. He decided to not play AAU ball and work individually on his game during the summer with Assistant Coach John Carroll '89. Fred is an extremely hard working student-athlete and has made tremendous improvement in his game. He has added 5 feet to his jump shot, improved his handle, added some size and has actually improved his quickness. He was recently ranked one of the Top 50 seniors in Massachusetts by Bostonpreps.com. During Fred's senior year he will be studying Psychology, Ideology and Revolution, Eastern Religion, Harlem Renaissance, Calculus, Lit and Comp Writing and Human Physiology. He was an HONOR ROLL student during his junior year. Fred will attend TUFTS UNIVERSITY in the fall.

Sam Manhanga 6'7"......230...... '03 Forward......Mozambique "Big Sam" comes to NMH from Greenwich High School in Greenwich, CT where he played for Dr. Erwin Braun. Sam led Greenwich to the best record in school history at 23-3. They were upset in the quarterfinals of the State tourney. Sam averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds a game last season. This past summer he teamed up with Dr. Braun again as a member of the Connecticut Flames AAU team. Sam got a lot of attention for his play during the Big Time tournament in Las Vegas. He finished the summer ranked the 38th ranked 5th year player in the country by HOOPSCOOPONLINE.Com. Sam will study PG English, Honors Spanish, Calculus and Chemistry. Sam is fluent in 5 languages. Sam will attend BROWN UNIVERSITY in the fall.

Eli Manna 6' 7"......230......'03 Forward/ Center......Boston, MA Eli comes to NMH after 4 years at Thayer Academy. He was a 2 year starter and 3 year member of the varsity club. Eli averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds on a team that included one of the top prep players in the nation, Michael Jones. He is expected to make big contributions for the Hoggers this year. A tremendously gifted athlete and a very strong player. His strengths are his aggressiveness attacking the boards and his defensive presence. 2 time winner of the most coachable award during his stint at Thayer Academy. Eli spent the summer playing with Pete Washington's YABC club getting great exposure at some of the top national tournaments. This year Eli will be studying Multiculturalism in the United States, English, Harlem Renaissance, Pre Calculus and Eastern Religions. He enjoys ceramics and music. Eli will join teammate, Sokol Zejnullahu, at CONNECTICUT COLLEGE in the fall.

Charmel Maynard 6'2 1/2"......180...... '03 Guard...... Port-of-Spain, Trinidad Charmel is another returning player for the Hoggers this year. Charmel is in his 3rd year of organized basketball and is making enormous improvement each time he steps on the court. He has tremendous athletic ability and has a great array of high flying dunks. Charmel worked on his game all summer and it has paid off. He spent the summer attending Steve Gibbs' Hoop Mountain Camp and Eastern Invitational. He, also, spent time working out with some current and ex-college players. The NMH coaching staff is expecting to get a solid contribution from Charmel this upcoming season. Charmel was an HONOR ROLL student during his junior year. During his senior year Charmel will be studying Honors Pre Calculus, English with Sarah Rebick, AP Calculus, AP Psychology and Anthropology. Charmel will attend AMHERST COLLEGE in the fall.

Kashif Payne 5'9"......155......'04 Guard......Chester, PA Last year "Shif" attended Archbishop Carroll in Philadelphia. The 5'9'' point guard averaged 18 points, 8 assists and 4 steals per game. He was named team MVP, Catholic League MVP, Player of the Year, First Team All-Delco, All Main Line, All Catholic and All State in Pennsylvania. He was recently honored as an Underclassmen All American candidate by Street and Smith's. This past summer Shif split time between the AAU programs of Del Val and the Philadelphia Phoenix averaging 20 points, 10 assist and 3 steals a game. This year for NMH you can expect some great passes, tough defense and some improved range on his jump shot. It should be exciting and up-tempo. He is a great person and a wonderful addition to the NMH community. During Shif's junior year, he will be studying American Literature, Multiculturalism in US History, Religion in America at the Millennium, Intro to Psychology, Pre Calculus and Environmental Science. Shif will be playing AAU ball this Spring and Summer with Gary Charles' LI Panthers squad. Shif was recently named MVP at the Hoop Group Jam Fest in Providence and MVP of the Kingwood Classic in Washington DC. He was recently ranked the # 45 player in the country by rivalshoops.com. Kashif is getting interest from the ACC, Big East and Atlantic 10 conferences. Shif will be attending the prestigious Addidas ABCD basketball camp this summer.

Robert Taylor 6'5"......205...... '03 Guard/ Forward......Boston, MA Robert attended Newton North High School last year. He led his team to a 16-5 record and a 59-10 record during his career. Robert was the team leader in scoring, averaging 23ppg and in rebounds, averaging 13rpg and had 2 assists per game and was MVP of the Division 1 Public School league in Boston. This past summer he played AAU alongside NMH teammate Ryan Brimley for Mike Crotty's Middlesex Magic team. Robert is an athletic wing guard who finishes strong and works very hard on the court. Another Top 50 player in the state by Boston preps.com. Academically, Robert challenges himself with a strong course load. During his Post Grad year, Robert will be studying Honors Spanish 5, PG English and Calculus. Robert will attend Trinity (CT.) College in the fall.

Alex Thayer 6'4"......205......'04 Guard......Seekonk, MA Alex played for St. Ray's in Providence and helped them win their 4th consecutive state title. Alex has a very high "basketball IQ" and is an athletic 2 guard. He will be a solid off guard/ small forward for Coach Batty's program for the next 2 years. This past summer Alex help the Rhode Island Hawks program surprise some bigger programs with some solid wins and a tournament win in West Virginia. He was recently ranked as one of the Top 20 juniors in the state by Bostonpreps.com. Alex is a solid student with over 1200 on his SAT's. Alex is interested in the IVY league for his college career. |

Mischa Tripoli 6' 5"......210......'03 Forward/ Guard......North Falmouth, MA Mischa comes to NMH after a great career at Falmouth High School where he averaged 17 point and 14 rebounds per contest. He was named First team Old Colony All-Star. This past summer Mischa teamed up with NMH teammate Alex Thayer as a member of the Rhode Island Hawks AAU Club. Mischa helped the Hawks to a big tournament win in West Virginia . He is currently ranked as one of the top 50 players in Massachusetts by Bostonpreps.com. He has made huge strides in making the transition from a strong inside presence at Falmouth High to a wing player for the Hoggers. Mischa attacks the boards with reckless abandon, is a relentless worker and a tremendously coachable player. He is taking PG English, Pre Calculus, Ideology and Revolution, Botany and Violence and Non-Violence. Mischa will attend CLARK UNIVERSITY in the fall.

Sokol Zejnullahu 6' 7"......225...... '03 Forward......Cambridge, Massachusetts Sokol is a returning player for the Hoggers this year. He played some solid minutes off the bench and was the first forward for Coach Batty last year. Sokol decided to not play any AAU ball over the summer and dedicated himself to a rigorous work out program...and it shows!! Sokol added some strength and size to go along with a deeper jump shot and better handle. He has gotten stronger around the basket to compliment his European style of play. Sokol is a great teammate and will make a big difference for the Big Red this year. He was recently ranked in the Top 50 in the state by Bostonpreps.com. Sokol was an HONOR ROLL student during his Junior year and is fluent in 3 languages. During his Senior year Sokol will be taking War, Programming, AP Calculus, Psychology, English and Astronomy. Sokol will attend CONNECTICUT COLLEGE in the fall. |
