Piano Program

The piano program at NMH is designed to give students ample opportunities to study, practice, and perform. Over 30 NMH students study piano every term at every level, from beginning through advanced.

Piano parties once each term encourage students to play work in progress or completed works for their peers in an informal and supportive setting.

Students can study a variety of repertoire, including classical and jazz.

NMH piano students perform at many events including Sacred Concert, Christmas Vespers, all-school meeting, campus gathering, chapel service, Musical Retreat (dinner music series), student recitals, instrumental program recitals, piano parties, all-piano recitals, concert audition recital, chamber music class recital, and at area nursing homes.

NMH owns a total of 20 pianos, including 14 grand pianos. NMH received a brand new Steinway D as a gift in 2001.
