With four full-time music faculty and 22 part-time music teachers, Northfield Mount Hermon's music program is one of the most diverse and exciting prep school programs in the country.
From 120 to 150 students take private lessons each year. Their levels range from absolute beginner to advanced.
Each 45-minute lesson costs $37. Financial aid covering one-third of the cost is offered to the first 20 students who request it. Students are expected to practice four times a week for 45 minutes each between lessons.
Our full- and part-time teachers cover every standard orchestral and band instrument as well as piano, organ, guitar, and voice. If we don't have a teacher for your particular instrument, we'll make every effort to find one.
