Dear Classmates,

It’s been 15 years since we sat freezing on Thorndike Field, awaiting our diplomas. Not so long ago, we laughed together by Perry Pond for our fifth-year reunion and toasted each other in Overtoun for our ten-year gathering. Now it’s time to think about our 15th-year class reunion this June! And yes, we are that old now. Can you even remember what was going on in 1993?

In 1993:

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day is observed in all 50 states for first time
• Puerto Rico adds English as its second official language
• South Africa agrees to multiracial elections
• Chicago Bull Michael Jordan scores his 20,000th career point
• NBC-TV airs the final episode of Cheers

 

Our 15th reunion is June 5–8, 2008!

Mark it on your calendar right now! We understand that it is a busy time of year for everyone, but we do encourage you to come. Since our graduation, many changes have occurred at our beloved alma mater. But while the school physically may be different, the heart and foundation is still the same. Metta is a new faculty member at NMH and is excited about sharing with us all that has changed and what has stayed the same.

At this point we’re in the preliminary planning stages for Reunion 2008. Please feel free to contact us if you’d like to join the reunion team or make any programming suggestions. This reunion’s highlights include:

• boat rides on the Connecticut River

• Alumni Artists Exhibit, which has always included an impressive array of talent from fellow alums.

• Friday night coffeehouse featuring the band of Pierce Campbell, Greg Burrill, Joe Klein, Jaime Voos, and David Torrey

• class dinner Saturday evening and a look back at our class video

We each have a class list and will be glad to provide you with the most current contact information upon request. Also, please go to the NMH website (www.nmhschool.org), log on to the alumni community, and register your e-mail address so we can keep our lists current and send you the latest reunion updates.

You will also be receiving a letter and a call asking you to consider making a special reunion donation. The all-time NMH dollar record for 15th-reunion classes is $22,028, and the participation record is 30 percent. Our goal, in honor of our 15th reunion, is to break both of these records—and we want your help. So, as you’re thinking about when you’ll arrive for reunion weekend, please also seriously consider a reunion-year gift to the NMH Annual Fund.
