Dear friends and classmates,

Some 26 years ago, I let myself out of my dorm into the frigid pre-dawn of a winter day to milk cows, muck stalls, and feed the animals for my workjob. Within a step or two, my wet hair was frozen solid and each breath came in like a knife and fell out in a cloud of vapor.  A sliver of a moon with a dog star in tow hung before me and only a trace of the day could be seen across the Connecticut Valley. As I crunched across the field, thoughts of assignments, due dates, plans, anxieties, crushes, and all else faded; until I found myself standing still, lost in the grandeur of the place and the moment. It was an adolescent epiphany, a vision of limitless possibilities.

That vision stayed with me as my milking partner shoved a bucket into my hands, yanking me from the stars back to my more earthly and pressing tasks. That vision has stayed with me ever since--a vision that made tangible Moody’s ideas of educating the head, the heart and the hand.

Our time at NMH was filled with challenges, but the rewards were real and truly everlasting. The rewards were the victories, the breakthroughs, the friendships, the inspiration, and most of all, the confidence that we could make a difference in our lives and in our world.

Kristin and I hope you will join us in the continuation of this chain of rewards. The costs of running a premier educational institution are high, but they are nothing compared to the benefits of bringing more inspired and inspiring NMH students into our community.

Our class has always been generous with our time and resources on behalf of the school, but it is now time to go beyond. It is our 25th reunion year and we have set the goal of raising $50,000 for the Annual Fund as our way of thanking the school for all we have been fortunate to receive as result of the role NMH has played in our lives. Let us together strive to reach that goal and to raise our class participation to over 30%.

Of course we can’t do it without your continued generosity. To reach our goal will require each of us to participate with a reunion gift that is a “stretch” beyond our usual gift. With your help not only will we outperform what we have achieved as a class in the past, we will present a class gift that will make an enduring statement.

Kristin and I look forward to seeing you at reunion time and we hope that you will consider NMH’s investment in your head, your heart and your hand as you make the most generous donation you can to support our traditions, our values and our school.

Sincerely,

Tracy Korman & Kristin (Cole) Sposato
