Greetings to the NMH Class of ’59!

The Reunion Committee has been very active over the past year, and plans are well underway for the best 50th Reunion ever!  We hope you are all considering coming back in June 2009.

Please note!! The dates for the Reunion are June 4-7, 2009; this is different from the tentative dates that were sent out last year.

You should have received a letter about the Yearbook, which the 50th reunion class at NMH traditionally publishes. We’re asking you to write about a few topics, including a “biography” that you wish to have included in the Yearbook. We’d also like a current photo of you (and others if you wish). This is your opportunity to bring us all up to date on what you’ve been doing and whatever news you want to share with the class. Steve Hammalian has done a superb job setting up a website (http://www.nmh59.org) to organize the Yearbook and the Yearbook Committee. You can fill out your Yearbook form on this site (click on the Profile link) and also upload your picture(s) (click on the Photos link). If you are not able to use the website, there are alternatives described in the letter that was mailed or on the website (http://www.nmh59.org). Although the deadline is listed as June 1, 2008, we hope you submit your information and pictures well before then; that will give the Editors more time to work on laying out the pages, writing the History and other sections, and getting the Yearbook into your hands before Reunion.

The “History” section of the yearbook will include narrative and pictures, and we want it to be drawn from people’s memories as well as “history”, so please share your reminiscences; and send pictures from your school days!  If you have lots of (more than 5) electronic images to send, please put them on a CD and mail them; and if you have prints, those can also be mailed; we can scan them and return the prints. The mailing address for pictures is in the letter you received.

We are also planning to include Biographies and Eulogies for deceased classmates and we are asking for your help with this. We need information from their families, and friends who knew them after their time at NMH, so if you know the name/address of a relative, or if you have post-NMH information about any of these classmates, or if you wish to write a eulogy, please send us whatever you come up with. The list of deceased classmates is printed below. Please contact Len Wurman (MH) or Nancy Bissell Goldcamp (N) with this information (see below).

We also have a number of “lost” classmates, and if anyone knows how to contact these classmates, please send us that information, or ask the classmate to contact us.
