Our 65th reunion, June 7–10, 2007

Here’s our opportunity. Come back to campus to celebrate our 65th year since graduation. We were the first class to graduate after Pearl Harbor. Do you remember being released from class on Monday, December 8, 1941, so we could listen to President Roosevelt declare the 7th as “a day in infamy?” We all grew up in the depression of the ’30s and were part of the “Greatest Generation” that Tom Brokaw has written about. Many of us went on to serve in the military. All of us served in one way or another during World War II because the entire country was involved in a way that young people today do not understand. So we are a special people from a special time.

So let’s make an effort—if our creaks and aches and pains and general health will let us—to come together for our 65th on the weekend of June 7–10. Put the date on your calendars. We are making plans for the weekend, especially for us as a class, and you’ll be hearing from us soon. You’ll also be receiving detailed reunion information and reservation forms from the alumni office a bit later.

Even if you are unable to make it to the reunion, we can all make 2007 special with a significant class gift to Northfield Mount Hermon School. You will be hearing more about plans for that.

Have you been following the happenings at NMH? There is a single campus and a new spirit that includes the old values of excellence for a great new generation of young people. Northfield Mount Hermon continues to make a difference. We are fortunate that we can still be a part of it.

So mark down our 65th reunion! We want to see you there! And if you have an idea, suggestion, or question, give one of us a call.
