Welcome to the virtual presence of the NMH Library! I encourage you to explore the library’s web pages, visit the library blog for a more student-centered interface, and of course, stop by the library in person!
The 21st-century library is more than a building with great books. It is a vibrant multimedia learning space that fosters collaborative exploration as well as individual study.
Of all the resources available through the NMH Library, people are perhaps the most important. Members of the library team work one-on-one with students, teach research skills to class groups, collaborate with faculty, and serve the entire NMH community by continually building a collection focused on academic, informational and recreational needs. This group of dedicated professionals is committed to keeping current on trends and cutting edge practices in the library profession, implementing effective programs and services, and providing a welcoming library for the NMH community.
The Schauffler Library is the physical home of the NMH Library program, serving as a crossroads where the academic and community aspects of the school merge. Whether a student is conducting research for a paper, working with a classmate on calculus homework, reading a novel for AP English, editing a video, perusing today’s New York Times, checking email, or chatting with a friend, the library is the place to be!
We who work in the library have a “stealth” mission. Though our primary focus is to support an NMH student’s academic life and social experience, we aim to cultivate life-long library users.
