Borrowing

Who may borrow from Schauffler Library?

• NMH students, faculty and staff
• Family members of NMH faculty and staff
• Parents of current NMH students
• NMH alumni
• Individuals with no NMH affiliation who are able to provide identification

What materials/equipment are available to borrow?

Books, movies, music, and audio books are available to all borrowers. NMH students, faculty and staff may also borrow cameras, projectors, screens, laptops, ipods, and calculators.

Loan and Renewal Policy?

• NMH students: The loan period for most library material is 21 days. The loan period for movies is 3 days.
• NMH Faculty and staff: Most library material is due at the end of each term. The loan period for movies is 1 week.
• Other borrowers: The loan period is 21 days for most library material, no renewals.
• Items may be recalled for use for another borrower at any time after the initial 21-day loan.
• Material may be renewed in person, online, or by email.
• The renewal period for most library material is 21 days.
• Students may not renew movies.

Borrowers are responsible for all items borrowed on their library ID, including the fines and replacement costs for items lost or damaged.

Interlibrary Loan

This service is available to members of the NMH community. Please allow 7-10 days for requested materials to arrive.
