Northfield campus news
One of our lease/licensing arrangements for the Northfield campus this summer is creating quite a buzz. Among other camps and conferences at Northfield, we will host the inaugural sessions of a performing arts camp for up to 350 young teenagers this July. The camp, which was sponsored by FremantleMedia, an international entertainment corporation that produces American Idol, is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to pursue their passion in the arts. According to the producers, the camp will be instructional and is not a contest. Special kudos goes to Rafaela Calicchio, who secured this significant contract for the school. Here is more information.

The camp, sponsored by international entertainment producer FremantleMedia, will be directed by Donna Milani Luther, head of Inly School in Scituate, MA, and an arts educator for more than 30 years who was named Massachusetts Arts Educator of the Year by the Massachusetts Alliance for Art Education and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Idol Camp producers will host two ten-day sessions with up to 175 campers attending each session. The camp is tuition-based, with scholarships available to families that meet financial qualifications. Several facilities on the Northfield campus will be used, including the Auditorium, Dolben Theater, Olivia Music Hall, and several dormitories.
